I managed to see 11 MINIs throughout the day on Saturday in and around Chicago. This is not counting any MINIs near dealers, friends' MINIs, or MINIs involved in a cruise. Have other seen this many?
I've found that about 50% of the drivers wave while the other 50% seem oblivious to my wave and/or flash.

I agree, I'm less than 50% for the wave back. 11 MINI's and not one was me!? Maybe it was me and I 'ignored' you. 8*)

Sad to say but my experience is also less than 50% flash/wave. But if they're going the same direction, I'll hound them and wave like mad until they respond! :)

I've only seen one Mini driver flash and wave… maybe we should consider a post for: MiniCooper Driving Etiquette :-D

I agree on the “waving” issue.
Some seems ignore me whenever
I wave or flash my headlight.Maybe they are too busy “concentrating” on the road. :)

You guys should come down to Miami-Ft Lauderdale, the MINI mecca of the entire USA.

Everyday I see at least 10 to 20 MINIs in all color combinations. Tend to see more MC's than MCS'.

The MINI is becoming quite common in South Florida. After all we have the priviliege of having 5 MINI dealers in relative close proximity. The only advantage to this is that people no longer seem to bother you to ask questions about the car in parking lots or gas stations but on the other hand, the car is becoming quite a common sight downhere.

Miami is the biggest MINI market in the nation. MINI's advertaising machine think tank, (Crispin, Porter & Bogusky Agency) is located only 10 minutes away from my house.

So for those of you that live in other areas of the country were the MINI is still a truly rare sight, enjoy the priviliege of driving one of the coolest cars on the market, becuase here in S Florida they are many of them.

Wow, that was a good day Gabe. There were 3 total, including mine at the Windy Cuty BMWCCA Safety School at Maywood. Didn't see any to and from the event, but saw one in the north burbs later on my way to the Brat Stop. I've seen a few out this week so far, but still lucky to see one a day.

I only see about 12 or less MINIs a week.
And maybe less than 1 old Mini a week also.
