As some of you may remember I posted some install instruction regarding the John Cooper Works Kit awhile back. I wanted to let every know that I've now got an updated version located int he “How To” section of Bridger.us/MINI.
Note: I strongly recommend not trying to buy a JCW kit and doing this yourself. I'm offering these instructions as great way to learn more about the JCW kit and see what goes into the actual installation performed at MINI dealer's service departments.

I'm confused. Those instructions are for installing the Cooper version of the kit, not the MCS version.

In the instructions the replacement cylinder head is erroneously labeled as the supercharger (WTF? – pg 4 & 5 of the PDF) and nowhere in the instructions does it actually address replacement of the supercharger. All the pictures are of Cooper items and Cooper engines (not MCS).

Additionally the documentation addresses Cooper and R50, rather than Cooper S and R53. I am confused :-)

These would appear to be the install instructions for the JCW kit for Coopers (not available in the US) even though the file name of the PDF seems to suggest it is the MCS JCW kit.

Sorry – uploaded the wrong instructions. The real R53 (MCS) JCW PDF should be there now. Not quite sure why the R50 instructions would have a reference to a supercharger though. Pretty strange.

Anyway all is well now – Enjoy the instructions.

Ah that's much better. Yeah I don't know what's up with that typo in the R50 instructions.

I notice that the R53 instructions don't have a legend for the parts chart — I think whoever put the documents together got some things mixed up :-)
