MINIUSA is highlighting some great ways to (A) get together with other MINI owners and (B) help out your local community.
And the coolest part… they're utilizing a photo that was taken by a Chicago MINI Motoring Club member this past spring and digitally enhanced by your's truly. You can check out a larger version here. In fact you can even download this image as a desktop wallpaper in the wallpaper section of this site in a variety of sizes. And if you still can't get enough you can see the entire set of photos from this even here (keep in mind this was suppose to a “spring” event!)
You can check out the MINIUSA “Make a Difference” website here.

Now that was a fun ride on the
pirelli run flats! I am still in love with the rootbeer at The Spot!

Gabe – congrats on the usage of your stuff! Great, as usual! Thanks !

That 'Spring Drive' last March was great fun and the picture is great! I have a framed edition of Gabe's postcard on my family picture wall at home. Thanks to Becky and Gabe.

I just got a broadside email from MINIUSA with part of the picture, no credits, no cardboard box. When I clicked on the link in it, it went to the normal MINI website and, I must be slow, cause I can't figure out how to get from there to what you've shown us in this article. At the least they should have included credits on the email pic.

HOW SWEET! I'm always excited to see the new Mini mails, but imagine opening this one up and seeing my own COOPAH! It's the fifth Mini from the left, immediately to the right of the CR-MCS. Very cool I must say! Congrats Gabe!

I agree with Dave on the root beer at the Spot. It would be nice to go there again when the weather is more drive-in compatible.

Ellen, I couldn't figure it out either. They should put a link to it on the main page.

Ryan, nice MINI there! Are you going to make it over to Chicago again for any 2004 events? Bring friends from Michigan! BTW, mine is the Indi Blue third from left (not counting fractional MINI's). :)

VERY Cool! Congrats to Becky and Gabe. Such a great picture and now it will be famous around the country. Too bad my car was to the far right in the section cut off. 😉 That was a great drive, even with the snow, and we do need to do it again.

Jim

I've had this image as my desktop for months now… imagine my surprise when I opened MINIUSA's email and saw the same image! Congrats Gabe and Becky! I hope they gave you nice things for your MINIs in return for using your wonderful picture!

Jenn in Sunny Cali

I was surprised as well. I LOVE this picture and recognized it immediately! Congrats Gabe.

Go Gabe! As another four-seasons MINI driver, I love that pic…

the website won't let me make comments for the post below this one.
Gabe, is the site broken? I tried from 3 browsers on 2 computers. Every other item here has lots of comments, that one has none, is it locked?

Fixed! Thanks for giving me the heads up Technomage!!! Post away :)

Drew, SuperDave, I am about 20 mins. from The Spot and always looking for an excuse to go, so let me know if you are up this way!

The use of this photo would not have happened without Gabe. I had missed the e-mail I received from MINIUSA asking for permission to use it. They contacted Gabe, who gave them an alternate way to reach me. Thank you, Gabe! I also owe you thanks for the retouching you did that turned a good photo into a great one. By the way, that's my Agent Cooper second from the left. :)

Artoo is right next to you on the far left! FUN TIMES!

When I clicked on the “Roadside TLC” link, then the “Adopt-a-highway” link I almost had heart failure! There couldn't be another Vegas MINI club already in existance, could there?!?!
