JCW and MINI launched a new website recently with loads of info and some new photos. For the first time there are photos of the carbon fiber hood scoop, mirrors, and tailgate handle. Also this is the first information I've seen on an air intake for the Cooper and a standalone JCW exhaust for the MCS (US and Canada only). And finally we see the debut of the “MINI Cooper Sound Kit” which seems to be the less expensive JCW kit made specifically for the Cooper mentioned a few weeks back.
We've also obtained a PDF with all of the available JCW accessories (based on model) that will be available. You can download it here.
You can check it out the new website below:

so cool – but any idea if any of the cooper stuff will work with cvt?

Anyone have the prices for the JC Seats? I wonder if they would be retrofittable in other models of vehicles.

I am definatley interested in getting a standard Cooper kit. Right now its only overseas. Any ideas if they will be making a kit for the Coopers in the US?

03ibmini – the standard cooper kit has been available in the us since last spring.

Cooper Kit Coming to the US

However Cooper Sound kit appears to be the new cheaper kit that was rumored a few months ago: A new Cheaper JCW Cooper Kit?

Ryan – I've been told the JCW seats won't make it to the US due to a lack of airbags.

I was originally told MINI may be trying to get around that but it looks like it didn't pan out.

Thanks guys I remember reading about it last spring now. Too much for me. I am really interested in the Cooper Sound kit though, much more affordable and probably adds a bit of oomph… To spend so much on the other kit is too much for me, for only modest improvements. Hopefully they will bring the Cooper sound kit here soon…

Gabe, have they posted any pricing yet?

Badd Ass!

Is it only the front seats that aren't available in the US?

Frankly, I think both the JCW front and rear seats look awful. I love my lapis blue ones, and would not want to lose them.

Can you get it a-la-carte like when you build your Mini?

This has been out for about 3 to 4 weeks. The only problem is that it is international and therefore all, none, or some of the items may be offered for the US, availability is not mentioned, and the cost is still up in the air for most of these.

I really like the pics. Especially the silver MCS convertible JCW pic above.

Any word on a perfomance gain with the Cooper Sound kit?

Josh – the fact that it's named the “Cooper Sound Kit” should tell you something about it's increased performance… or lack of.

I'm thinking 5-7 hp tops…

Well I'm pump! I can't wait to dump the MC and get an MCS. Over time you can bet I will have most of the upgrades. It is so cool that MINI offers real upgrades to it's consumer. Any one can make and drop a larger pulley into a car. But I want the package. It's very unique and special that's what I'm looking for. Thanks! MINI!

PS Yes I know it's a huge waste of money. If power is all your after you'd be a fool to get the JCW.

I'm quite interested in the brake kit – I'm assuming it ups the diameter? Different pads? Also, anyone know if the strut brace is front or rear?

They do mention “there is also special engine management software for improved response” I wonder how much improovement should this be?

Any idea on prices?

Any idea when the 05 brochures and/or the 05 jcw brochures will get to dealerships in the states?

Oooh… the Cooper Sound Kit looks great… but any estimates even on what the price would be? And how about US avaliability?
