One of the side effects to MotoringFile’s coming platform switch to WordPress will be new RSS feeds. To help make the transition a little easier we moved over our RSS feeds to Feedburner a few weeks ago. That means that any future changes to the feeds shouldn’t effect the URLs that are used to actually read the feeds. Or in plain English, this will be the last time you’ll have to update your feeds URLs.
So with that said here are the new feed URLs for MotoringFile. If you haven’t updated your RSS URLs in the last month (as most users have not), please update them accordingly:

Roger that…changes have been made

How soon will you be making the leap to WordPress?

Your comments link (http://feeds.feedburner.com/MotoringfileComments) is showing a parsing error…

Good question. Between you and me (and everyone else who reads this) we’re hoping to get a lot done tonight and potentially launch it Thursday morning. However if that doesn’t happen expect the switch this weekend. Personally I can’t wait. This has been planned for almost a year now!

Not surprising. Many commenters use illegal characters (without knowing) and thus our comment feed breaks. Im holding off on fixing this until the switch to WordPress. I’m hoping some of it magically goes away!

Good luck!

What’s the reason for the switch? I’ve been looking long and hard at WordPress recently… Will you be able to mimic your current look & feel?

Best,
Jon

Lots of reasons frankly. I’ll just say this… to the end user you won’t see a ton of change… initially. We’ll be making the change using our current design. However MotoringFile 2.0 will be coming very soon and will feature a revised layout and some new features.

Good call, jumping onto WordPress. Dunno what the backend is like right now (home grown?), but WP is great software, through and through.
