For the second time in three years MINI will be named as an Automobile Magazine “All-Star”. Here’s an excerpt from the preview article as posted on their site:
>This modestly priced, front-wheel-drive hatchback with great fuel economy is actually an exotic sports car in disguise and yet can still function as simple transportation.
For those interested, BMW Group products also took both “Automobile of the year” and “Engine of the year”. You can read the entire article (including how each all-star is chosen) below:

Top Auto, Top Technology plus two All-Stars.
Very good for a small car company from Germany.
The future is looking better.
I hate to say it as I am an old subscriber of Automobile Magazine … but there is no other publication that is so far up the behind of BMW as this … 🙂
There was one particular issue not so long ago, in which I counted about 7 BMW related articles.
I am not saying it’s a bad thing and BMW is certainly a great brand … just making a statement.
Great for MINI sales.
Many folks claim there is a certain “Bavarian Bias” in most of those car magazines. Car and Driver, Road and Track, Automobile, etc.
On some occasions, I could perhaps see a bit of evidence to support this theory, but couldn’t it just be that BMW really knows what they’re doing? Maybe they’re so fond of BMW vehicles, because well, they really do deserve praise when compared to the rest of the automotive industry.
Just playing Devil’s advocate… 😉
