It’s been written about at length by seemingly everyone over the last six months and now we turn it over to our readers. Here’s your chance to chime in on the long speculated GP pricing from MINI USA for the US market. But you only have 24 hours to get your votes in on the US MSRP (including destination) as we’ll have the real annoucement on MotoringFile Wednesday morning.
Let’s see those predictions!
The price is now released and the comments on this post have been closed. We’ll have the winner announced shortly.
$32k.
$37,500.
$33,500.
Is this like guessing the number of jelly beans in the jar? Do I get one if I get the price right? 😉
37k
$38,300
I’m sticking with 35K, eventhough I’ve heard $32…
$33,900
I’m going on the high side with $39,500.
It might as well be $139,500 because I can’t afford it. It’s not like I’m selling magnetic badges like hotcakes… LOL!!
I’ll a little bit optimistic, so I’ll go with $33,000… hmm, maybe I’ll go with geno’s idea and make that $32,900. 🙂
I’m probably getting 24k for my totalled mc40. I’m betting they invert that for the gp. Seems like a lot, but – well, alright – MSRP on the GP= 34k. and still a challenge for me.
I’m goin’ lower at $29,900 because it does not have xenons, leather, a sunroof, HK stereo, or many other of the higher priced options.
This could be optimistic, but regardless I can’t see it any higher than $32,900 in order to be a viable product on the US market…
How much are the red mirror caps alone? Perhaps I could just get all the exterior parts and make a faux GP. But I guess the total will be: $39,000.
If I win, I want mine with the cold weather package too. This is a great give-away Gabe. Thanks.
$33750 + dealer mark-up = $36750
$37,500.04
$33,950
I’ll take the under at $31,865. That’s base price, excluding any options, tax, title, license, and destination charge.
MINI doesn’t need another MC40.
I say $38,500 with destination before any options. No thanks.
They’ll probably want to promote the “Under 37k” bit and make it $36,900 or so :-/

Is this like guessing the number of jelly beans in the jar? Do I get one if I get the price right? ;-)

A jelly bean? Sure! I bet Gabe’s got one behind his desk he could give you. 😉
I’m going with $32,500.
Since you all overbid, I will say $1 Bob.
$30,500
$34,895
$35,000 for mirrorcaps in any other color than red
(pinkie on the corner of my mouth)
1 million dollars, mwaaa ha ha ha ha!
Base: $33,000.
Dealer Mark-up: $?,???
…but it doesn’t matter. Without the Recaros, I’m not really interested.
Whatever Todd is willing to pay….
The same as an EVO…
$1

I should have read more carefully before I went for my own “The Price is Right” themed joke.
I am going to say right around 30K.

Whatever Todd is willing to pay….

I can’t tell you how many messages I’ve received over the past few days from various folks AND the sales dept. at my dealer encouraging me to “go fot it.”
In 24 hours we’ll know the price and you’ll see if I have any big news to go along with it.
Stay tuned and definitely listen to whiteroofradio next week!
fot=for
I’ve had very little sleep lately. : )
I’ll say 32,200, but whatever it is I’ll have one.
How much for just the wheels? I want ’em.
I’m going to say $32,550 out of the bag
MINI USA is probably reading this to determine where they are going to price the car at. 🙂
$ 42,000

MINI USA is probably reading this to determine where they are going to price the car at. :-)

Then I should probably change mine to $22,500. LOL!
I’m thinking your going to get a bargain over there. $29.999
Obviously, this excludes dealer markup etc as it could be any figure.
Gabe, you buying one…?
>Gabe, you buying one…?
I already have the “MotoringFile” GP in my garage 😉
I think it will come in around 32k. If it hits 40k I would have to consider an Mcoupe or Elise, unless somthing else special comes with the car 😉
Erik Rutberg
2006 MINI Cooper S JCW GP, 1st in line at dealer
2004 325xiT
2003 MINI Cooper S, tons of mods, soon to be for sale
1997 318ti/Dinan3, supercharged
1988 ///M5
1985 735iA, currently on life support
1973 2002
$33,400.00
Yeah, say Gabe…….
What is this extra special item or items MINIUSA is going to include with the car?!?!? Will that be disclosed tomorrow too??? 😀
I would purchase one without even thinking about it at $14,000.00.
$32,375
1 million dollars
$28,449
$5,000 over M.S.R.P. in California !
32,495 USD

I think it will come in around 32k. If it hits 40k I would have to consider an Mcoupe or Elise, unless somthing else special comes with the car ;)

Probably a Keyring! oooh Ahhhh 😉
$37,501
Sara at MotorWerks MINI or maybe it was Chuck at Patrick MINI told me that in california they were selling these for 75k presold. I guess each dealership gets an allocation of 5.
$31,899
$38,900
I would say USD 38,420.54 MSRP
$34,400
Ok, 29,999 w/the key ring.
for Italy (BMW ITALY) is 34.000 EURO
i know because i have buy it (prenoted).
$34,495…plus a nice little track day at Laguna Seca.
Hmm, $35k sounds about right.
I know this is a US site but i want to play.
I think $53,500 Australian Dollars. Drive Away. 🙂
Shade under $30K
Will gladly trade in my 05 S Convert
I’m already on the record for $35000.
$36,930
$34,500 with the WRR Sticker intalled!
$37,250.52 MSRP
Dealers will put a big premium on it and it will be $50,000.
People will gobble these up a lot quicker than the MC40
$37,950 + a 15 – 20% market adjustment
$43,642.50 to $45,540.00
This will create a big enough comission for a MA to live on for few months.
One Dollar Bob.
$1 up on the board.
I’m getting a “price is right” vibe here…
Must be my spidey senses kicking in…
I’ve been assured that I’ll pay list for my GP (1st on dealer list). If that list is over 36K I’ll walk or flip it. With only a 2000 car run they should try and lowball it, they’re not making enough cars to profit much.
$2.
No, really $29,970
It has to be around $32K-$33K. Otherwise, the car no longer makes sense, since you could build you’re own JCW for less and have about the same performance.
>$5,000 over M.S.R.P. in California !
I just called my dealer. They have 6 spots total, 1 is taken (waiting for pricing). Mark-up will be $3K – $5K over MSRP for ‘market adjustment’
$36,200
Hey, I’d buy that for a dollar!
I’m goin’with $39,995.00, sorta like an Earl Scheib paint job. ‘Cept this one is bein’ sold with a Model-T dictum – you can have any color, as long as it’s gray. 😉
BCNU,
Rob in Dago
Solid 32K
I’ll go with $33,900. And there are dealers out there that will sell this car for MSRP. I’ve got the first one that arrives at my dealer.
$42,249
$30,750.00
Comparable Cooper S config
20,900 Base
550 Dest&Handle
450 Paint
1,400 sport pkg
6,300 JCW Kit
100 Rear Fog
1,300 Panther Leather
250 MF Wheel
31,250
– 500 Xenon Delete
0 18″ Wheels
30,750
$30,495, any more and I don’t see the point in this car.
For those that mentioned a price ‘without options’ I think that is how they come, no options allowed! Correct me if I’m wrong. And if MINI Canada changes their mind and decides to test the bumpers and import a few let me know ’cause I have a very interested customer.
And, I will guess $37,995.
33,000 Base.
$41,250.00 for the few and the proud who have there JCW GP from MINI of STERLING. Just a Educated guess you understand!!!!!!
Hoping for less $30k, otherwise my spot on the list is for sale.
due to rarity of the item 46500
$43,499
