This week MotoringFile is introcuding a set of badges with a bit of a new twist. First off we’re featuring metallic silver on several of the new designs (noted in the description on the order page). This also gives the badges a more reflective quality at night.
The folks with Pullies will be happy to know that they now have badges! Beyond that we’ve also created a new “brushed metal” looking black and silver Union Jack those that like something subtle. And finally we’ve added a new set of Official MotoringFile badges in both black and white. Of course as we noted a few weeks back each of these designs also available for only $4.50 as a high quality sticker.
You can take a closer look at the badges by clicking on each and you can buy the badge (or badges) of your choice by clicking on the button to the left which takes you straight to the new badge set.
Rock on guys!! Yet one more thing for me to start collecting.
Todd, I’m looking forward to getting the club badges I set-up with you.
Chad – you should see them in the next few days!
Now we need a “30% less go” for the Cooper crowd. 😀
Perhaps “No whining”?
How about “Supercharger Whining ONLY” or “15% MORE WHINE” or “If you can read this your SUV has a flat tire” or anything else I can think of as I sit here in training class being bored.
“If you can read this, your SUV has a flat tire”…that’s classic!
Lookin’ good! Time to put in another order.
How about a Sheer Fun Warning or something along those lines. If you make one I want one. I already have 3. Prompt Delivery…would do business with this ebayer again. er I mean…
How about some “Stock Pulley” badges? 😉
Or, how about some SCCA SOLO2 racing classes
Stock classes
B-Stock or BS (JCW)
H-Stock or HS (Cooper)
G-Stock or GS (Cooper S)
slightly-modified classes
STS (Cooper)
STX (Cooper S/JCW)
SM (anything with a reduciton pulley)
more-modified classes
ASP (JCW)
FSP (Cooper)
DSP (Cooper S)
How about an ASC OFF?
Looking good guys!
I second Daniel’s Solo 2 classes idea, and I’d also love to see one that just has a traffic cone (as used in autocross).
A couple of years ago I made a few ray-trace renderings of cones–click on my nickname above to see some Cafepress products that use it. I can provide high-resolution versions of the cone at no cost for use in making a badge, if you would want to use it.
Houston, we have a quality control issue!
Shouldn’t SLOW TRAFFIC be backwards as well?
CIFFART WOLS
😉
>Shouldn’t SLOW TRAFFIC be backwards as well?
No – wanted to have something for pedestrians to read.
Heres a great idea for a badge…
R U COMPENSATING?
One of my favorite slogans 🙂
Gabe, I love the “DSC Off” badge. May have to get one! I’m a little late to the party on these…they just stick to the front grill with magnets? Probably something to take off before the car wash?
Actually, I wish there were even more switches I had to toggle when starting the car, so I could feel more like I was starting up a P-38 or something.
We are “GO” for Fun.

No – wanted to have something for pedestrians to read.

LOL! Note to self: Stay off the sidewalks when in Chicago. Beware of black MINI. ;-P
Great work Todd & Gabe. Really, really like the DSC Off one. Got to figure out which six to start with!
Surprised you didn’t do a “14.3%†one, or “Webb Installed Go,†or a leather JCW badge, with red stitching, of course costing $10.70 more! But seriously, I would really like one with a curvy road-sign theme; and text something like “Curve Seeker.†Also, how about one in the BMW Motorsports colors for us F1 fans? I’ll third a cone one for autocrossers.
snid,
What R U COMPENSATING for? Coopers are not like “the base model” or something. And “Cooper crowd,” what bloody non-sense I do say, we are all part of the same MINI family. Some of us just don’t find our fun seeing how fast we can go in a straight line, but prefer lots of curves, a slimmer partner, strong natural breathing, and maybe not reaching the end so quickly every time!

But seriously, I would really like one with a curvy road-sign theme

You mean like this?

I had Todd make some of these up for me a few months ago. Todd, you’ve got my permission to turn these into badges. 😉

Just wait for the next installment 🙂

Just to be clear, I’m one of the Cooper owners who has been known to keep up very well with MCSs autocrossing and on the track. I guess my sense of humor didn’t make it through.
One of my vaorite moments was getting a point by from someone in a 350Z with a license plate something like “blew by you” (obviously some abbreviated version of that).
When I keep up with / pass / impress someone in my Cooper, I want them to know that the little car that they are looking at is the “slow” one. Hence, “30% less go”.
I like Rollin’s curve badge idea. I would like one that reads “Tame The Twisties” or “Twisty Tamer”
I also like Petsounds’ “We are GO for FUN”. That would be a sweet one too!
Where is the Nordschleife badge 😉
… and how about: “corners tested, autobahn approved” (or similar)
16% pulley? Huh.
>Where is the Nordschleife badge 😉
As soon as I find vector art for the Nordschleife I’ll have it!
Sorry, missed the humor – I’ll take Tabasco with that crow, and a pint Guinness, please. . . .
one idea on top of the national flags you did some time ago: a European Union flag.
keep up the good work
