With limited production of R56 testing mules now in their sixth month, we’re seeing a huge increase in daily spyshots. Here are some of the latest as sent in by MotoringFile readers:

Wow, that MINI2 Oxford shot is awesome. Too bad it isn’t closer-up. That car looks really sharp and really finished – with real paint and such on it. Very nice.
It’s ashame the pic of the silver R56 isn’t a bit clearer as that seems to be the most production ready picture I’ve see. Other then that though I happen to like the new design, can’t wait to see some more pictures

Wow a trailer hitch (france) wonder what they use that for?
So, do they crush the mules when all is said and done?
I wish MINI would show one of these mules at a car show instead of recycling the Traveler Concept one more time. Imagine the buzz that would be generated.

probably to haul cheese.
Is that a rear side vent?
Maybe they have found a way to keep the boot clean.

I saw 4 R56s on the same morning that the gent on Mini2 probably did. The picture seems to be taken on a stretch of road between Horsepath and Wheatley – about a mile from the factory. The cars are finished but are still heavily camo’d. A colleague told me, that the black tape they ordinarily use, had been sprayed by our paintshop to match body colour – i must say it was very effective.
