I must say, Vicki is usually a much better driver than that. With a few practice laps I think she could have won fair and square. The RC car wouldn’t have stood a chance with Tiff.
I was tickled pink watching the video, it was all good-natured fun.
Unintentionally funny was when she was waxing over how light the GP was, and how it had such a great power-to-weight ratio – all the time, I was looking at those 18″ wheels, which I believe are quite heavy, and wondering just how much faster the GP would be with something like the 16-18lb 18’s from manufacturers like Oz, Kosei, etc………
Then perhaps the GP would have ‘supercharged’ the way she wanted it to in the low revs!!!

Millie, according to the MINI2 FAQ, the OEM 18″ GP wheeels are only 19.8 lbs, which isn’t so bad. They are a significant weight drop from the other OEM 18″ (JCW) wheels, at 23.3 and 23.5 lbs.
I’m not saying that aftermarket isn’t lighter… but perhaps not as big of a difference as you might have thought! 🙂
I was really dissapointed to see the huge amount of GP’s on sale in the UK autotrader – it is as if everyone who bought one did so to make a profit!
Even the first ever customer who famously acclaimed he would never sell his on Ebay is now selling his car and noting it as a part of Mini history!!!!!!!!!!
Well the reason it is is called fifth gear is that the silly woman NEVER managed the sixth. By the way the gp costs a bundle and with all that much money you can actually get the 220hp with aftermarket parts and still be able to keep the rear seats!!!!!
And please put up a mini with a RC model car, GET A LIFE.
P.S. tell the guys at fifth gear to tune in TOP GEAR they actually put cars against each other.
Enough said, good night
I knew she was going to run that thing over. Love those seats. You can get a GP on ebay for $45,000 ..lol about a little over 22,000 brit. pounds.
Where’s the Stig when you need him!? Bloody funny!
Love the ending.
LOL!!! That was awesome! Great video!
“I love you for trashing his car! He doesn’t even have a girlfriend!”
Still chuckling…
Dave
I thought she was going to run over it right off the bat and just go around the track by herself
exellent ending!
I do believe she actually managed to stop it twice with her hand brake turns! Jeeeez….
That was fun, very in the spirit of MINI.
Bloody Funny!
Good for her she ran over the car, cocky little guy he was.

MCS GP, or an R/C M3 at 1/100 the price. That R/C car leaves a lot of money left over to take a girl friend on a date… Assuming you have a girl friend. Poor Andy.
I had a feeling this was going to be similar to the Ocean’s 11 (remake) truck vs RC truck race. Looks like I guessed it.
What a review!

RC cars rule!
Rc cars are cool to build and then break and then rebuild!
