[ Update: We’ve got much more detailed (and correct) information now posted above.]
Our friends at Winding Road appear to have the scoop on 2007 MINI pricing. At this point we have yet to confirm these numbers but they appear to be in-line with what we were expecting:
>Current Cooper (2006) — Base MSRP: $17,450 + $550 D&H = $18,000
>New Cooper (2007) —Base MSRP: $18,050 + $650 D&H = $18,700
>Current Cooper S (2006) —Base MSRP: $20,900 + $550 D&H = $21,450
>New Cooper S (2007) —Base MSRP: $21,200 + $650 D&H = $21,850
>In other words, you’ll shell out $700 more for a base Cooper than you would for the outgoing model and a more reasonable $400 extra for a Cooper S.

It’s normal that the packages increase in price too?
Ian – are you referring to <a href="http://motoringfile.com/2006/08/17/scoop-2007-us-market-packages-revealed/" rel="nofollow">this story?</a>
There’s a thread on NAM with a little more info on pricing.

It appears some MINI dealers already know all the pricing.
I can’t wait to spec it all out! =]
Come on MINIUSA =]
Doesn’t seem too bad. Even with the expected increases in package prices, it’s a far cry away from the $2500-3000 increase I was personally fearing.
Lucky Americans I say!
Here in the UK we have to pay £16,000 or around £18500 with a Chili Pack, Metallic and DSC for a 2007 Cooper S… which is around $35000! And the blummin thing is even built here too! 🙁
Don’t forget the lovely VAT you have to pay. :/ But yeah, it sucks that you have to pay so much.
”We’re recieving official pricing information as we speak that may be at odds with what was posted yesterday via Winding Road. We’ll have it on the site shortly.”
Uh-oh… here it comes!!!
