With the additional space that comes with the Clubman, MINI has been working on new storage solutions.  One that is likely to see production is a removable storage organizer hidden under a false floor.  The storage module will occupy the entire boot area and will be made deep enough so that when the rear seats are folded down, a flat storage area will be created.

The design under consideration for the storage module allows dividers to be repositioned to configure the space inside the organizer as desired.  In addition, while the module will not have the hydraulic assist feature that was shown in the Clubman Concepts, it will be removable.

It may also be worth noting that, because of the storage layout, we’re likely to see the Clubman “S” with exhausts placed on the outer corners of rear rather than a central layout as seen on the R56 Cooper S.
