Here’s this week’s installment of MINI’s Hammer & Coop. And mark your calendars: next Monday night at midnight (EST) MotoringFile will be the place to see the web premier of the new Hammer & Coop music video.
Absolutley for sure when Hammer pulls a handbrake turn, there was a blip of the throttle and a very distinctive R53-super-charged-whine and resultant burble and gurgle.
Shame on you Sound editors for trying to fool us!
They have been using a R53 in some shots in the making of this series. Could have happened here again (sort-of). For proof of my claim – go and watch Episode 1 again. When Coop is introoduced by bursting through the glass/door into the alley – freeze a couple of panes and you will notice the R53 features in front of the wipers. They have gone as far as to stick new crome indicators to the side. Now we might know why they decided to feature Coop in black – the thinner wheel arch trims are less visable then… 😉
The excitement is building 😉
Perhaps i’m just a production freak and MINIac… did anyone else notice the “burble” in Scene 1?
Must be a Euro Production model.
There is “burble”!
I haven’t heard a good clip of the R56 but that one sure sounded like it had the sc whine of a R53. I heard the burble also.
So, it was meant to escape…………..:O
