Auto Express has some video (similar to what we saw way back in ’05) of the Clubman undergoing some final testing at the Nurburgring. There’s nothing particularly new here, just more high-speed Clubman vs ‘Ring action. And don’t mind the narrator – everything he mentions as new is actually standard on the current Cooper S. And of course the suicide door is on the right side of the car in all markets – not the passenger side as he suggests.

looks better than I expected, I must admit
It said 17 euros at the end. How much is that in dollars. Thats pretty low isn’t it? I would expect the clubman s cost more than the cooper s.
>I would expect the clubman s cost more than the cooper s.
Don’t worry – it will.
i absolutely love it. the new design features of the r56 marry perfectly with the extended length.
For the Clubman S, the 17,500 UK pounds price tag is about 35,000 USD. However, if I am not mistaken, pricing in the UK has been a bit higher than in the US.

BTW we’ll have the first real information about US Clubman pricing later this week or early next.
17,500 euros = $23,839.43 so it will probably be just shy of $25k dollars with destination and handling.
US$25K sounds about right for the Clubman. A fully loaded Clubman S could easily top US$30K, which puts it in close territory to a new BMW 328 Sportswagon.
Nice vehicle overall. Fairly interested in getting one.
>US$25K sounds about right for the Clubman.
Don’t say that too loudly… MINI USA might hear you. Again we’ll have real info on pricing very soon.
Can we play the “Price is right”?
looks good. seemed like it was really hustling there.
I think you can look at the convertible for a clue on the pricing. For the ’06, there was a $3500 premium for a convertible (either Cooper or S). An extended cab involves less costly changes than a convertible. I would guess there will be a $2000 to $3000 premium for the Clubman. That’s a wide range but pricing depends on marketing as well as manufacturing.
25k? Way, way too much.
(damage control?)
I do agree that it looks better than I expected. It looks better on the roads than it does in the sketch pictures, IMHO.
When I showed pictures of the Clubman to my non-car-enthusiast friends, they said it looks too much like the Chevy HHR. That’s my fear. That it will be labeled as a more luxurious and better performing HHR since it has the same body shape and rear doors… :S
I don’t just want one.
I need one!!!!

What are your friends smoking…? I’ll have a big problem if the Clubman S gets over 30 with the premium package. Because you could add a couple more thousand and get you a 07 328 bmw. I think the starting price will be around 23k.</blockquote>
