MotoringFile has learned that MINI is currently looking at location options for MINI United 2009 in England. The idea is that the event should take place in the UK to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Mini itself. And while it’s strictly a rumor at this point, we believe MINI will make the 2009 MINI United more new product focused with the debut of a new offering of some kind. The current odds-on favorite is a MINI Challenge based factory JCW car with the most power ever offered by the brand – potentially also brought out as way to celebrate the 50th anniversary.
Of course you can expect any and all details of the event to be right here on MF as it takes shape over the next two years.
In the meantime, look for more details on MINI USA’s 2008 follow-up to MINI Takes the States in the coming months.
What a great photo! The ones with the MINI’s on the track lined up to go…that would make a great poster for my garage!
Is a larger version of that image available?
Thanks!
Fantastic! Will look forward to both events. Look forward to to hearing details.
Silverstone? Yeah! that would be incredible! Where can I sign up?
Would be nice if it is in the same time period as the International Mini Meeting in Birmingham, so we can make it a holiday and attend both.
BTW, Mini 40 was also a huge event at Silverstone, would be a nice tradition to continue.
we need a UK petition Now lol!
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo… we want a road trip to spain.. somewhere hot.. as the uk is always wet..
IN THE THIRD PHOTO THERE ARE ALSO I!!!WOW
I have to say that the first photo is the BEST. Well, me and my crew are in it 🙂
I have to say that MU’07 was great, though I found it less “cozy” than in Misano. A lot more was happenning, but in much larger space. In Misano everyone was in the middle of all the action, this time we didn’t even know that some things were happening.
For us, Russians, the best part of the event is the trip there and back.
Is it sure that mini united 2009 is in the UK?? or is spain??
No. No more MINI United in Netherlands, UK, or Ireland. No more rain! We prefer Spain too!!!!!!!!
England would be great. Beware, the one and only New Mini Club in Switzerland will be there too 😉 See ya!
