Our recap of MINI United. Not a bad outing since Todd was only sorta here.
We noticed some interesting things about driving in Europe like the number of bicycles. They were everywhere!
Todd and I toured the MINI factory, Gabe drove on the ‘Ring plus we got to talk all those great people you already heard interviews of! It was a great event to be sure and if I were you, I’d start saving up for MINI United 2009 now! It will be worth it.
We still have a little bit of audio from MINI United coming as soon as Todd gets done selling/buying houses, plus full audio from our plant tour. If you missed any of our MINI United coverage, you can catch up by following the links below.
Like I said, there is a bit more audio to follow, as well as our tour of the plant. So keep an eye out for them!

Shouldn’t this read #166?
Just a heads up =) 😀
If MINIUSA plans to hand deliver 50th Anniversary JCW MCS during MINI UNITED 2009, you can bet your ass that I will be there.

The Fiat 500 that Gabe saw trailering to the ring showed up on Autoblog shortly after:

As flattering as it is to know MotoringFile is frequent reading, I do hope the good folks at MINI assess the comments here with a massively huge grain of salt. At best comments are (most, not all) a cartoon version of reality that I have often found to be very bizarre based on my own conversations with MINI owners. Nice to know they equate often polarized views (thinking back to the R56 debate) as an indicator of enthusiasm and loyalty, pure and simple. I applaud MINI for staying the course, keeping the brand true to itself and keeping the drama seen within the MINI community in perspective. It takes some tricky perception to understand comments made in one moment…many of us have a variety of views all held at the same time. To express a more holistic opinion would take a very long comment….kinda like this one is becoming!!! 🙂
