Today marks the start of official sales for the new JCW Challenge race car. You can read all about the car and check out the purchase contract below:
[ MINI Challenge Race Car ] MINI.com
There are a couple of interesting stipulations to the contract. For one it specifically mentions that the offer does not extend to the USA. You’ll have to use the contact link if you’re in the US and interested. 30% o the 41,930 Euro price (without VAT) is due within 10 days of sending in the contract and you have to agree to not sell it within the first four months of ownership. If you do, a 15% penalty is due to BMW AG.
However for those in the US, all is not lost. Some work is currently going on behind the scenes by a few people that may make the JCW Challenge Race Car available in the US. We’ll have more as we get it.
Where would you race this anyway in the US? NASA and SCCA don’t have a competitive class for this? I think i would end up with cars way out of it’s league.
I just want that rear wing if it will fit on my r53.
I just want those sweet sweet wheels.
Someone please let me know if you have any idea where and how I can score a set of these.
You can score those sweet wheels on the JCW race car 😉
Doubt they are going to be sold by Borbit directly as they were developed for Mini. Maybe Mini will sell them eventually, would love it though if they put them on the factory JCW only.
Victor,
Where would the JCW MINI be classed now? This is basically a JCW with cage and saftey equipment.
I want the rear defusier.
