MINI does have some creative advertising agencies. Winding Road has some interesting shots as MINI gets ready to debut the Clubman in Frankfurt later this month.
>Consider this to be ad agency Saachi & Saachi’s take on Cadillac Ranch, the iconic open air art spectacle in Texas. We caught the installation in mid-assembly, where construction workers were busily arranging the three-quarter Clubman carcasses on a plinth for display. As of this morning, the display wasn’t finished, but we expect the metal supports to be removed, and the plywood stand to be covered with gravel or some sort of creative ground cover.
What an aburd waste. Is this permanent?
And it’s not even original – nothing like “great art” that’s just a copy.
Come on, folks – a little more imagination, a little more green.
I wish they’d have buried them win the back ends down. That way you wouldn’t have to see that ugly two tone rear end. When will MINI come to their senses & get rid of that?
The 2-tone works with a couple of colors. For example, I’m not much of a PW fan, but the Clubman in PW/B with the Balck C Pillar looks very nice (IMHO of course). What I REALLY want to see is LB/B 🙂
Haha, That’s great! Could have been Banksy’s work!
they are already standing in Frankfurt…. check this picture.

Yup, they’re outside the Messe area so I haven’t gotten out there yet. But I’ll get some pics up today 😉
. . . in the tradition of the originals – how long before they’re vandalized and spray painted?
Graffiti is encouraged at Cadillac Ranch,I was also wondering if that was part of this exhibit.
Can’t wait to see it, i’m off to Frankfurt shortly.. Sorry to be boring but it’s interesting to see the Clubman’s exhaust layout!
Ah, there’s the new Chocolate brown of renown – guess it’s only for installation art.

…..nine Clubman articles…..sorry Gabe, just messing with you.
What’re they calling it? MINI-Henge? Un-Henged? Gee, I miss the topless babes at the old TVR stand.
Yeah this looks similar to the USA site out West which I think is on old Route 66?.
How about Stoned-henged or Easy Henger.

If you click through to the article you’ll see that these are Clubman sans the entire front clip. They didn’t really bury them in the ground.
