I hate to be the one to break it to you if you haven’t already heard, but the previous record of 273 MINIs in a line was smashed at this years MINI Phenomenon 2007.
You can check out the MINI of Thailand event below:

If that is how they are going to play it we will have to destroy it next time we try. MOTD???
MINI Takes The States 2 maybe?
and it’s all in the name of thier king….
(maybe everything there is)
how many was there this time?
This is just wrong. I think that we have to take the record back. Someone who is organizing AMVIV activities should start planning our revenge. Surely there are enough miles of dessert road where something like this convoy could be arranged. Start out at the parking garage at Palace Station, and drive out of town, (doing this down the strip would be a logistics nightmare, but perhaps heading directly out of town might work).
shuckseroo…. guess I’ll have to take the #52 GBOWR sticker off of mah windshield now…. until next year anyway =)

Pretty much, yes.
I can’t figure out how many MINI/Minis?
The new record is 444.
444 Minis and formed the words ” Long Live the King”

Was this a Guiness record??? I’ll be in Va. Beach next year to try and break it again! We from CT./NY won’t miss it again!
I second the AMVIV idea. It would be great if we could top 500. Let’s see…12 feet (average, I know the R56 are a bit longer) x 500 would make it 60000 feet (not counting the spaces between cars). 60000 feet divided by 5280 = 11.36 miles. That’s if the cars are parked touching bumpers. If they are moving and assuming a two car length distance between cars, that’s about 34 miles of MINI’s!
I’m sure there is a nice stretch of road near Las Vegas that’s begging to be a part of the World’s Record.
Whoops my bad…that’s 6000 feet. So divide everything by 10 and we get about 1.14 miles of parked MINIs and about 3.4 miles of moving MINI’s. I guess I was a little bit over-zealous. Sorry.
Prestige MINI in Mahwah, NJ will be making the attempt on Sunday, October 28th. Should be interesting.

Does this count? The VA Beach record was for cars in a convoy, and we werer monitored to make sure that we had a continuous traveling convoy over a set course. The pictures from Thailand look like they’re just parked in formation.
