Here it is, all of the audio from MTTS 2008. Listen in as we start in Miami and work our way north to Boston. With many interviews along the way.
Some of you have asked about the MINI we drove. We had an Astro Black R56 S with body colored roof, sunroof and automatic transmission. Yes, we know we are Whiteroofradio. I think someone at MINI USA was having a little bit of fun with us.
This is the last of the audio and there is quite a bit of it. I still have more coming in the shape of video and photos, so you can watch for those later today.
And, if you are wanting to go to either of the remaining MTTS events (like I know you are), be sure to take a minute and register. You can subscribe while you are there and get all of the updates MINIUSA was posting as well.
first of 2 parts on the video goes up tomorrow. Don’t want to wait? You can see them here.
I think it was MINI USA toying with Gabe as he had an Astro Black Monotone that was JCW stage 1. Gabe sold it didn’t he? So MINI USA gave them a reminder of Gabe’s old ride.
Listened to the podcast last night (this morning) really– Awesome coverage guys- very envy/registration inducing! See y’all when you hit the west coast!
Top of the page, look for the MINI with the crazy graphics title Garage419.com MINI.
Yeah, the GP will be in my garage for a long time. I don’t care how much it’s worth, I love the GP enough to keep it for a long, long time.
I plan on driving the new factory JCW a few more times before I put my order in but rest assured by the end of 2009 there will be two MINIs in my garage with the name John Cooper Works on them. That’s how good this new car is. Now the problem is, getting one configured the way I like for less than $40K.
Check that, I just configured my new JCW for $36K and change…
I guess you just have to bring along some white paint to the next event! Or, a plain white roof graphic – just in case! lolz
lol, a plain white graphic over a black roof- oh, the irony.
Great show, as usual.
It’s (much) later today, where’s the video?!
:-O You’re getting a JCW Todd? Great news man and a testament to how much you must have loved the test drive! Can’t wait!

TODD another JCW???
Hey Todd, so are you thinking of finally coming over to the darside? Hehe
Whatever you do, don’t even think about ditching the GP (You always need to keep a R53 on hand at all times).
Selling the ’03 R53 S?
>Gabe sold it didn’t he?
Not yet. Probably later this year. Can’t bring myself to part with it.

Gabe, keep it. You’ll soon realize how accomodating the MINI really is for baby duty. You’ll regret selling it later.
Where are the pics of the art car MINI?
