Britian’s Royal Mail will be introducing a new series of stamps later this month, one of them with a depection of a Mini on it.
>From the distinctive lines of RJ Mitchell’s Spitfire fighter and the stylish chic of Mary Quant’s daring mini skirt to the calm of the Penguin Books jacket and the practicality of Robin Day’s Polypropylene chair.
>But there’s one brilliant design that remains close to millions of people’s hearts – the Mini. In 1959 the first Mini’s rolled off the production lines at the British Motor Corporation’s plants at Longbridge, Birmingham and Cowley in Oxford.

Thanks for the link iNomis. I’m tempted because £9.89 ($14.88 US according to my Dashboard widget) delivered isn’t too bad. I’m just not a big stamp collector.
I just ordered a set of stamps for my wife’s stamp collection. I noted that after I registered and entered a Canadian address, the postage went down by a few tenths of pounds. Possibly the exclusion of VAT. Thanks for the link.
Those are cool, but I wish they were ALL Mini. LOL.
You mean MINI not Mini?

Chris,
Mini refers to the classic car, which is the one depicted. MINI is the spelling for BMW MINI.

My first car was a used 1961 Austin Mini 850 in that exact shade of blue. It’s similar to the current Oxygen Blue, but much lighter.
