MINI United: JCW World Championship 50 Debuts (w/Full Gallery)
Directly across from the White Roof Radio/MF tent is the only MINI available in flat BRG, the MINI F1.
We have found out that **only** 250 will be produced world-wide. We have heard that MINIUSA is working on getting an allotment of these MINIs in the states, but nothing definite is planned at this time.
For now, enjoy the photos, specs after the jump.

**MINI JCW World Championship 50**
Flat British Racing Green paint with Pepper White roof and bonnet stripes.
JCW Badging, Aero kits and misc. JCW exterior bits.

Agreed on the stance being too high. I am LOVING the factory Joey mods! I think the camden has them too. Maybe we will see this as an option on the configurator sometime soon

Decent color though not flat green, I might buy off on non-metallic green but the second shot (of the side) shows a thick coat of gloss clear coat over the paint. Agree that the car needs a set of springs to get rid of the 4×4 stance. Rather disappointed about another wannabe Mini performance car with the stock suspension.

Still great to see the car, prefer it much more than the other two new packages.

Hmmm, the car is in a tent and they could not roll down the windows for proper pictures? It looks good and it seems to have some nice equipment.

the “joey mod†is where you dismount the headlights, heat them up, take them apart, and paint the inside before reassembling them on the car.

MINI first did this officially at the last MINI United with the 1 Millionth MINI.

Thanks for the post and the photos, DB. You guys are awesome, always on top of things in the world of MINI and that’s why this is the only website about MINIs that I visit with any frequency.

Regarding the car, what I don’t get is why they don’t make this a full JCW, flat out. Suspension, all the bells and whistles. It’s limited edition anyway, like the GP, why not just spec it all the way?

Colour scheme is fantastic (save the trendy/tacky black rims). Like others note above, I am amazed at the continuing resistance of BMW to install a – you know – “sporting” suspension on such a limited edition model, especially since it has factory JCW power upgrades (and wears “F1” badging)! Just amazing. If stock R56 suspension tuning was great or even “adequate”, I would give the missing suspension tuning a pass, but it isn’t…

Still… trying to stay positive… 🙂 JCW suspension will sort this for another $2K installed and it’s a great looking factory JCW otherwise.

Bi-xenon lights? Are these different fron the current upgraded lights?
If so can we expect the new lights for 2010 ……all this info raises more questions.

I would just love this color to come stateside , i dont care for $5K worth of carbon fiber bling on the car!

I forgot to change it at the top of the post. the actual name of this MINI is MINI JCW World Championship 50. As for the color, it is non-metallic green, very similar to flat brg of days past. Sure there is a clear coat, but since it’s not metallic, it’s about the closest we will get to a truly flat brg.

We’ve heard that getting this to the states, while improbable, is not entirely out of the question. That being said, I wouldn’t count on it.

Agreed DB about this being as close as we are to see true BRG.

Overall I think the car looks good, I would actually purchase a Mini in that color with a white roof, something I would never do with the current metallic BRG.

Nice… factory joey mod

Perfect.

Any possible speculation on price, if it comes to the US?

It’s the color a MINI should be. The USA wants it, needs it. Bring the color!

Oh, if only I could afford one…

Very Nice. Not really a fan a black rims on any car. Finally we see the dark headlamps!

Yea, The headlights are killer! Stance is still a little to high. My guess $36K+ which is why I’ll be buying the new VW Golf R!

Wait I take back the Very Nice comment I made. Just realized it has no JCW suspension on the spec sheet.

These are pretty cool!

Agreed on the stance being too high. I am LOVING the factory Joey mods! I think the camden has them too. Maybe we will see this as an option on the configurator sometime soon

The blacked out headlights nice. I hope they make their way into massive production MINI.

I believe exactly 0 of the 250 are coming to the US, so the price is moot.

The color I have been asking for since 2002…

Decent color though not flat green, I might buy off on non-metallic green but the second shot (of the side) shows a thick coat of gloss clear coat over the paint.
Are these 17″ or 18″ wheels. If 17″, wonder if they’ll offer such black painted challenge-spokes as an option for jcw.

ahem – not flat, but rather not metallic

Hmmm, the car is in a tent and they could not roll down the windows for proper pictures? It looks good and it seems to have some nice equipment.

Ummmm…..factory ‘Joey’ mod? Help, please….what exactly does that mean?

Nav, leather, JCW? Couldn’t be less than $42K. Probably more.

the “joey mod” is where you dismount the headlights, heat them up, take them apart, and paint the inside before reassembling them on the car.

I have to agree re the suspension. They should just offer stock susp as a no cost option for anybody who has to have that.

Bi-xenon lights? Are these different fron the current upgraded lights?

I don’t see any F1 badging. Am I blind?

What is the likeyhood of having this color replace the metallic BRG come 2010? That would be a great question for the folks at Mini United.

The color’s very nice. If they added this color, it would be the color of my next MINI. But that’ll be a while.

And one nice thing about black rims — they hide brake dust.

Agreed DB about this being as close as we are to see true BRG.

Overall I think the car looks good, I would actually purchase a Mini in that color with a white roof, something I would never do with the current metallic BRG.

The car has been listed for $50K.

I so want one of these….badly!
