…I hate to miss this but it’s (just) outside of the limit I set for driving. I hope everyone who can attend has a great time!! I’m sorry for me I can’t be there… :)

Great idea but not new. Car boot parties are common place around the world. These are normally held in car parks outside special events where food and beverage is banned from being taken into venues, and as a pre-event and post-event refreshment stop.
Also many countries have car boot sales of unwanted items and bric-a-brac items especially in UK.
The Chrysler PT cruiser had a special trunk shelf that could be used as a “table”, in various positions, so its not new to MINI.
Good idea though, and good luck with the BBQ.

This is the kind of comment that, frankly, drives me absolutely crazy. You’re right. MINI did not, in fact, invent tail gaiting. Was that even in question? They’re doing something nice for MINI fans. Why does that need to be criticized?

I sent sent my email!

It looks like something MINUSA is putting on judging by the guys email at the bottom of the notice.

(grumble) LA always seems to get the most attention from MINI. Well, them and NYC. (/grumble)

NATHANIEL…. I totally agree!

I agree too… that’s the 1st thing I thought when I read it. Heck, I tailgate all the time during college football season.

Tailgate , boootgate, what the heck…..let’s party with the most fun little car, ever made……motor on / party on” that’s my motto,,,,

Been doing this all football season long with my Clubman – towing my trailer/grill/cooler combo behind it.

It always gets some interesting looks, people aren’t used to seeing a Mini tow anything.

Has anyone got a confirmation to this yet????
