Today we received a boatload of information regarding the MINI WRC team. It’s a complete rundown of the team, the history and the philosophy behind MINI and Prodrive’s approach. It’s a press release, so nothing too elaborate. But if you’d like to dive deep into the upcoming season of WRC as far as MINI is concerned, look no further.

Good luck ProDrive with your fist season with this car. Still funny that I think basically this car is a MINI body on a WRC car so 30% MINI and 70% Prodrive. Anyways it will be fun to watch and sometime over the season I will get to watch a Countryman roll off road ;)

@JonPd – how much of other brands are actually OEM anyway? I seem to recall a few other championship winning drivers rolling off the road when leading in some rallys. There is a fine line between on and off at that speed on loose gravel.
For MINI this is as good as it gets, so let’s be positive and be greatful that BMW and Prodrive are willing to take the gamble.
At least they are putting their money where their mouths’ are.

p>@JonPD,</p

I would guess less than 30% but why does it matter? It is a race car. Look at top fuel funny cars, they are modeled after real cars but they are 0% the car they are said to be. That is racing, it is all about winning, that is what gets the sponsors and in this case it got MINI for Prodrive.
