We start with a few reminders. It is MINI event season and now is the time to get yourself registered! Registration is still open for the Dragon and AMVIV. If you are going to either of those events, we recommend that you register!
Then, on to news from Motoringfile where we spend quite a bit of time discussing the JD Power study results and The Bespoke Goodwood MINI. Remarkably, we go through that without too much giggling this time.
Wrap it up with some Ask Chad and an interview with Julie from the AMVIV steering committee about this years event. For the affiliates, we do go long in the episode.

<p>So, you rip on the 2011 Dependability Study…. Yeah, it’s a bit of a misnomer, but these are results for 2008 cars that have been owned for 3 years! That means cold start problems, high pressure fuel pump issues, some engine bay fires and the like were all in play for this particular study.</p>
<p>Also, this study isn’t just marketing, but it’s industry benchmarking. It’s a ruler that shows how brands to against one another. BMW should be worried that thier customers report more “items of concern” than MB or Audi do.</p>
<p>But I’ll give you guys credit for pointing out that customer service rep training is a bit lacking.</p>
<p>And yes, the MINI adds in the US pretty much suck.</p>
