A MINI to Race on Speed’s “R U Faster than a Redneck”
If you’re unfamiliar with Speed’s R U Faster than a Redneck, the show is one part absurd Top Gear challenge, two parts Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Contestant racers pit their wits, driving skills and exotic rides against “good old fashioned” american muscle cars in a series of race challenges. This week, a MINI will pick up the gauntlet thrown down by american muscle. Who will come out on top? You’ll have to tune in Friday, April 5, 2013 at 9PM EDT on the Speed Network to find out. <p>Fun show. (I’m a cord-cutter and never seen it before)</p>
<p>Gotta say that track is so.. eh… rednecky. No technical corners or nothing. Typical “HP is everything” (well, I guess that’s the concept of the show) so unfortunately I don’t think MINI would stand a chance. I think MINI with excellent driver will eat Super Chicken’s lunch if they race at a lot more technical track though.</p>
<p>It’s two parts too much Blue Collar Comedy Tour and two parts too few of Top Gear.</p>
<p>Someone needs to take their Ariel Atom 500 down there and spank the hillbilly out of those rednecks.</p>
<p>Once my career is started an Ariel Atom 500 is on my acquire list after my 2014/15 JCW Hardtop and my house!</p>
<p>Leeann is an excellent driver and “Maggie” is an excellent MINI. I look forward to watching.</p>
