<p>Regarding the back seats in a Subaru BRAT, they exist so that it can be classified as a passenger car. This was to avoid the Chicken Tax.</p>
<p>While I mostly shift by ear, it’s still sad to see the tach relegated to some sort of add on gizmo next to the speedo.</p>
