MINI-FestivalFor the first time ever, this weekend Minis of all eras will gather for the Oulton Park Festival to celebrate the Mini brand and its history with a full day of festivities. The fun starts in Oulton Park, U.K. just southeast of Liverpool Saturday, July 12 and runs all day.

Events include stunt driver Russ Swift providing a show in his MINI Cooper S, The BMW MINIs of the Power Maxed MINI Challenge headline in addition to BMWs Scottish Mini Cooper Championship, and the originals of the Dunlop Mini Se7en, Mini Miglia and Pre-66 Minis. Le Mans winner Darren Turner will also be driving his Mini Cooper S on the track and attendees will have their own chance to meet the celebrity drivers.

It’s not just fun for grown-ups either, because motivated motorers between the ages of 11 and 17 can even get behind the wheel of a MINI with an instructor for learning the basics. Add to this that there is live music and it’s looking like the place to be this weekend.

If you live across the pond or are attending as a visitor, please let us know what you thought about it in the comments below.
