What’s the difference between the JCW Pro aerokit and the aerokit that comes with the JCW exterior pack as ordered from the factory? The answer is very little. What you see above is a photo of the factory option on the top and a photo of the JCW concept from last year’s NAIAS on the bottom As it turns out that concept was the JCW model (yes here’s where it gets confusing) lightly disguised with the JCW Pro Aerokit. Why is there a difference?
The Pro version of the aerokit appears to be simply the aftermarket version available from MINI dealers. There’s clearly no material difference between the two. However if you simply must have the faux rear diffuser look of the Pro aerokit the difference is simply a couple of parts that can be retro-fitted.

I think MINI missed an opportunity to visually differentiate the F56 factory JCW from the Cooper/S with a JCW body kit. They should include this Pro version on the factory JCW as was shown on the Concept.

Regarding the faux diffuser, this is nothing new from MINI. Just look at the Italian Job MINIs (2003) with the original Aero kit or the fake brake ducts on the R53 GP.

JCW “Pro”. Really?

Not Pro, Faux

Those Italian Job MINIs just had the first MINI aerokit which had a pair of stickers for diffusers.

I prefer the factory kit to the Pro version, it is happy that the Pro version is not on the factory JCW
