This week was definitely dedicated to John Cooper Works. On Monday MINI took the wraps of the F56 JCW, with the car due to hit dealer lots by the end of spring. However, that doesn’t stop MINI from continuing to develop JCW for other FXX models. Next on the list, the F57 Convertible. Based on spy shots from [Autoblog](http://www.autoblog.com/2015/01/16/mini-john-cooper-works-convertible-spy-shots/), the F57 JCW is already undergoing winter testing in Scandinavia. While the car is covered in swirly graphics, obvious cues (i.e soft top, aero kit, exhaust, brakes) confirm that we are indeed looking at a JCW Convertible.
When we first saw spy pictures of the JCW 3-door Hardtop, the F56 had been on sale for three months. With this new sets of photos coming out before the F57 is even released, it appears that MINI is ramping-up JCW models at a faster pace now that the JCW F56 has been announced.
Expect the F57 to start production in November and its JCW variant in March 2016.
Don’t forget to visit [Autoblog](http://www.autoblog.com/2015/01/16/mini-john-cooper-works-convertible-spy-shots/) for a detailed look at the pictures.

Doesn’t look JCW Aero package to me, but then I’m not there. No red Brembos either in this picture. But in saying that, I don’t see any reason as to why they CAN’T come out directly with the full JCW on the ragtop. They did for both the Coupe and when the roadster debuted, the debuted with the factory JCW.

Out of respect for photographers trying to make a living in the automotive world we won’t post a spy photo unless we actually buy it. However we want to let everyone know that they exist and give you our take on it. Hope that clears up the confusion.

Gabe, sorry for the input then. I thought that this photo looked familiar a being your own. It does make sense that the F57 JCW come out in the early stages, remembering MINI’s history with the coupe/roadster twins as I mentioned earlier.

JUST AS A MATTER OF INTEREST WHERE DID YOU GET THE PRODUCTION DATES FROM IS IT JUST ANOTHER GUESSTIMATE AS MINI HADENT AS YET DECIDED ON MY LAST VISIT TO THE FACTORY IN OXFORD

AUTO SPORTY says, we can expect
AUTOCAR says, it is thought
NORTH AMERICAN MOTORING says, this makes me think
RSPCAR says, will launch Paris LA or Geneva
AUTOBLOG says, we are expecting
CARWALE says, it would debut in LA 2013
CARBUZZ says, it is expected

Is this your source of information if so join the other idiots that get through life with their head in the clouds dreaming up useless forecasts
and dates

Obviously all caps is a joke given the previous comment. But if those were our sources we wouldn’t have last 13 years and have a track record like we do.

The picture you see above is not the one I talk about in my post. Check out Autoblog and you’ll see the red JCW break calipers.

Please Mr. Sitbon, grasp the difference between ‘break’and ‘brake.’

I guess I was bound to make a spelling mistake at some point. Thanks for pointing that out Mr. Rockerhousen
