MINI sales continue to march upward with August seeing 20,471 customers around the world take delivery of a new MINI. That’s an increase of 5.0% on the same month last year. Year-to-date sales climbed 20.6% to total 211,826.
2015 thus far is turning out to be a record year for the brand has never previously sold so many vehicles in the first eight months of the year. So far this year, sales of the MINI 3 door grew by 18.7% (80,960) with customer deliveries of the new MINI 5 door totalling 57,364 in the same period.

<p>The average global monthly sales figures for the first eight months of 2015 amounts to 26,478. Should that average continue throughout 2015, the total sales for the year could, potentially, amount to 317,736, a record for MINI. F54 Clubman goes on sale on October 31st and should give a turbo boost to the end of year sales.</p>
<p>The best year for global Mini sales was in 1971, when 318,475 cars were sold, a record that BMW MINI would dearly love to beat.</p>
