Before the MINI internet blows up there are three things they you need to know about those MINI Cooper SE wheels:
– That wheel gap is dictated by the height of the battery pack. The MINI Cooper SE likely will not be able to be lowered because of it.
– The design of the wheels not only allows for the best aero of any MINI wheel it also is the lightest 17” offered.
– In person those wheels are ridiculousness and fantastic simultaneously.

For those that are interested, google what a British plug looks like and you’ll see where they got the wheel design from.

Beat me to it.

The wheel gap is a bit excessive. I suppose they could slap some 4×4 stickers on it, call it a crossover, and people will love it.

Honestly, I think it looks pretty cool and very different than any other car out there, especially with those wheels.

That wheel gap is only “dictated by the height of the battery pack” because MINI is wedging it into an existing platform that wasn’t designed around the battery pack. They could’ve adjusted the fender design to compensate… but I guess that’s too much work when you’re trying to rush an EV to market.

Do those wheels come with the base (Signature) trim? Or do you have to option up to get them?
