What Do You Want to Know About the All Electric MINI Cooper SE?
In a couple of days will be driving the all electric MINI Cooper SE in sunny southern Florida. It’s MINI’s official press launch for the CSE where we’ll have a chance to speak to the designers and engineers who created the car. So our question to you… what do you want to know about the Cooper SE?
Range? Weight? Performance? We’re going to dive into the car in the way we normally do and will give you our full assessment. But we also want to hear from you and your questions around MINI’s first mass market electric car.

What is the effect of cold MidWest winter weather on battery life and range. (Okay, that might not be easy to answer in Florida.) Why did Mini make the decision not to lease the SE? What hardware for charging comes with the SE?

The SE has a heat pump that will help with mid-freezing temperature (not really cold temps). Expect 10-30km drop By using climate controls (based on previous EV experiences and the i3s).

I can’t speak to the leasing, but I’m guessing corporate doesn’t want a stack of 4 year old first generation EV’s sitting on their lots.

what about the battery life/durability? Can it be swapped if service is needed? Any warranty details regarding batteries?

will they support wireless Apple CarPlay?

will they support wireless phone charging?

the possibility of seeing an electrified MINI Cabrio in the future. Are there any plans in this regard?

Will MINI offer installation of charging ports at homes like Tesla does? And if so, do we have costs related to it?

A level 2 EVSE is available from them, but I don’t have any data on it in front of me at the moment.

You can get other More functional/equipped EVSE’s in the aftermarket from places like Juice Box and ChargePoint

Any chance for a larger battery pack with 200 miles range?

No chance in the F56 platform. Look for the next generation in 2023/24

You can lease the S E in Canada.

performance, please. 80-120 km/h, for example. how fast it is comparing to a cooper S?

Excellent question. They compare a lot of numbers to the S, but that range is real-world highway use.

Can the wheels they show in the promo images be added to the base model at purchase? If not can they be purchased afterwards and at what cost?

Does it weigh the long-reported 3,009 lbs or the recently reported 3,153 lbs? What changed?

I would like to ask them about…
