MINI brand sales in the U.S. totaled 5,131 vehicles in the second quarter of 2022, a decrease of 45.1% vs the 9,340 vehicles sold in the second quarter of 2021. That’s a staggering decrease is the result of severe production capacity issues due to global supply chain issues.
In talking with a few MINI dealers, they’re not having trouble selling MINIs. In fact it’s the opposite and the brand is seeing increased interest as gas prices rise to unprecedented levels. But with order to delivery times ranging from 6-9 months, MINI USA is missing out on sales that they’d normally make.
