Reader Luke Bussey snapped some great shots of the new JCW rear spoiler and R105 18″ JCW Wheels (the black version) that are currently available in the UK and Europe and will be coming to the US this fall. You can check them out here.
We should have US specific info in the coming weeks.

Ugh. Black wheels look horrible on the Mini. Who approved that?

I like these black wheels but I prefer anthracite R90 wheels.

Someone knows the weight of these new JCW wheels ?? It is quite important …

18″ is also quite too big in my opinion, even for a JCW MCS with brake kit (this one seems small).

They would look great with Pepper White or silver! With a black roof….yum.

I would love black wheels like that on my 2005…

I love my Anthracite holies – wait, that’s the brake dust…

I think the black wheels would look good on a black car… and the benefits of not having to worry about the brake dust (except for the loss of shine) would be fantastic. However, for my Hyper Blue MCS, I would prefer antracite wheels too.

I just wish the 5-spoke JCW 18″ wheels (the Gabe specials) were also available in anthracite!

I this the anthracite R90’s look fantastic (especially with CR or HB). Not sure about these black ones with a colour car — may look good on black or silver — or the complete impracticality of 18″ rims with that minute sidewall for road use. May be a good track wheel if the weight is right.

Nobody have anything to say about the spoiler? IMHO it’s awful; looks like an aftermarket add on that doesn’t fit at all with the car.

23.3 lb (10.6 kg)

I’ve got 4000 miles experience that says different. (A) there’s almost no difference in ride quality as compared to 17″s and (B) they feel incredibe.

When they become available, I am going to snatch some of these up for my JB/B ’05 MCS! No more brake dust worries, great feel, and nice looks–complete package.

I think the wing is spot on for some on the street and for the track especially.

i love the wing and love the wheels. i’d love to see this kit on an Astro Black/Silver Roof MCS.

Paging Dave Bunting…

Well, I got a hyper blu checkmate JCW on order. I was debating if I was going to order the carbon bits. I’m glad I’m going chrome. I know now I will get the Chrome JCW wheels to replace the stock horse shoe rim or “Flame rim”. Oh by the way the wing is fine for racing or anyone under 25.

does mr. bunting have this on order?

Black wheels look sweet as…! but as aforementioned – would look infinitely better on a pepper white/pure silver – with matching black roof and black decals. I’d have a hard time choosing between these new black JCW wheels and the silver/anthracite r90s for my next mini… decisions, decisions…

Thanks Gabe. :D

After seeing those R105 black wheels a few days ago I started playing around with the configurator to find a color combination that would work with the wheels. I came up with an Astro Black / Silver MC with the aero kit, and started considering changing my spec.

While I do like the way that would look, I just don’t have the desire to dedicate enough time to a black car to keep it looking good.

So for now I’m keeping my original spec.: Solar Red / Silver MC

Hmmm,

Two things:

Not a peep about the JCW Strut Brace.

JCW Wing looks better than anticipated.

It would be cool if the rim was metal colored and the rest was black. Suweeet!

Whether steamed or fried, it’s still rice.

I thought that the stubby antenna replaced the long antenna that seems to be shown… ?

I was at the Vintage car race @ LimeRock on Monday. In the Mini booth was a red JCW mini with the Black wheels and JCW rear wing and all availablr carbon fiber bits. I should have snapped a few pix but I did not. Not to my taste but not awful looking in person.

Robert, I did have the rep open the bonnet and it did have the long lost JCW STRUT BAR. That rep said they were in the warehaouse and would ship with the new instructions by the end of the month.

I am again holding my breath.

Nice

Bonz,

Thanks for the Strut Bar Update. I’ve been on a dealer waiting list for what seems like forever waiting for the bar to be released and waited for quite a long time before that before MINIUSA released the JCW Suspension for 04 MCS models.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed that the rep at Lime Rock is being accurate.

Looks great… for a Subaru or Mitsubishi.

I will be orering a 2006 MCS in Feb 07. I like everything about the checkmate package but I’m not sure about the Checkmate badges on the front quarter panels.

Your comments on this would be greatly appreciated.
