It may be hard to believe but MotoringFile quietly turned four years old this past week. It was the last week in September of 2002 when I first quietly launched Bridger.us/MINI. At the time it was simply a front-end to house all my various MINI links and official PDF files that I’d gathered over the previous six months of ownership. Now four years later it sees upwards of 15,000 visits a day as the world’s largest MINI news site. So I’d like to take a quick moment to give a big thanks to all the readers, contributors and sponsors of MotoringFile who have been a large part of this success.
And for those curious, it wasn’t until early January of 2003 that the site changed to the daily news format that you see today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MotoringFile!!!
Thanks, Gabe for all you’ve done for the MINI community.
Happy B-Day to Motoringflle, I am one of those 15,000 hits that the site gets daily. Visiting this site is one of my greatest pleasures day after day, finding a comunity of fanatics like myself has been fun.
When did you get your first MINI Gabe? Wondering if bridger.us/MINI was a prelude or a response?
GBMINI didn’t begin to exist till I was order tracking GBMINI#2 …
Happy Birthday!

CONGRATULATIONS – to you and the whole MotoringFile team. We all rely heavily on your insightful articles, news and inside track on events MINI.
Well Done!
>Happy B-Day to Motoringflle, I am one of those 15,000 hits that the site gets daily.
Just a clarification, the 15,000 number is visits. If you’re talking hits, MotoringFile gets up to 300,000 of those a day.
>When did you get your first MINI Gabe? Wondering if bridger.us/MINI was a prelude or a response?
I got my first MINI in April of 2002 so you could call this site a response to that.

You could use the wayback machine, or you could see much more of the site (including proper CSS styling!) by using our archives.
Funny to think that three years ago this was the projection from Gabe…

In the end I suppose we should all get used to seeing ourselves coming and going. The US is projected to have over 100k in 4 years!

happy birthday motoringfile – and congrats gabe!
the mini world wouldn’t be what it is without you and this amazing amazing amazing site…
cheers – drew
Congrats on 4 great years! Keep up the great work!
Happy Birthday and Congrats with Many Kudo’s for the creation and operation of MotoringFile. It is without any doubt, one of the most vital part of any MINI owners websites for news, updates, and all things MINI.
Gabe,
Thanks for the wonderful site. My first stop 5 days a week since 2003 when it was still Bridger.US
If my startup mini site gets one tenth the traffic I’d be stoked.
Also, thanks for putting up with my sarcasm, well most of the time anyway an good luck at the new job.
Remember….. get a bloomin’ move on! Because life is a Self Preservation Society! Mate.

Keep up the good work for at least another 4 years 🙂
and many more!
thank you, gabe. thank you sponsors.
Congratulations, on a great site. Used to look at both this and MINI2, now find I spend the majority of time here as the news is easier to access.
Keep the New MINI news coming.
Congratulations Gabe!
I still quite vividly remember the early days of Bridger.US/MINI and your contagious enthusiasm for the car.
I remember frequently reading your site during the time we were waiting for our first MINI. This was back in July 2002.
I toast for many more years of continued success at Motoringfile!
Happy 4th birthday Motoring File! You don’t look a day past 3!
…And it was also in that last week of September 2002 that my car was built. We celebrate together! 🙂
Happy Birthday!
Thank you for great site and for your effort in making it even better.
Good Luck!
Gabe,
Call me, we need to do lunch.
Happy Birthday Motoringfile! Great Job Gabe and crew and keep up the good work. I really really look forward to reading my morning Motoringfile like I look forward to having my first morning spot of tea! Very delightful. I am American but drink English Breakfast! Absolutely goes perfectly together with all the great news read daily on Motoringfile!
