It looks like Paul from MINI2 pulled the trigger on his 2007 MINI review a little early considering the embargo date of October 10th. But then again, he wasn’t the first. That honor goes to those sly dogs at Wheels24. In the autmotive world it’s not good to be the first to break an embargo, but it’s even worse to be the last. So here’s to the middle ground – Well played Paul. You can read the entire review below:
I seem to remember Motoringfile breaking the embargo on the first official pictures of the R56 too!

Like I said, it’s poor form to be the first… but you really don’t want to be the last. And as you can see, we’ve done the same thing!
I wonder when will someone be able to review the MC since it appears that MINI the event seems to only have MCS. While arguably the less “exciting” version, it’s got BMW’s infamous Valvetronic technology. I’m curious as to how it compares with the current.
According to the info Gabe posted here on MotoringFile, it’ll have 87% of its max. torque at 2000 rpm — which I would imagine make it very responsive to driver requests to pull.
Agee with LucasL. I don’t need the speed and extra cost of the ‘S’. I have an ’04 MC and am pondering a new one in ’08.
Funny thing about the radio nit. That was a complaint about the earlier MINIs too. Sounds like a continuing design issue that BMW/MINI doesn’t buy into.
