MINI USA announces pricing for the full 2007 MINI model line, including the eagerly awaited MINI Cooper and Cooper S models which are all-new from the ground up. The 2007 MINI models continue to define the premium small car segment and now offer more value than ever.
The all-new 2007 MINI Cooper has a Base Price of $18,050. With an adjusted Destination and Handling charge of $650, the MSRP is $18,700. The all-new 2007 MINI Cooper S comes in only $300 over the previous generation model. With a Base Price of $21,200 and a $650 Destination and Handling charge the Cooper S has a MSRP of $21,850.
With new color and option choices, the 2007 MINI Convertibles continue to offer fun-in-the-sun while holding Base Prices to 2006 levels. The MSRP of the 2007 MINI Cooper S Convertible is now $26,050, including $650 the Destination and Handling charge.
2007 MINI Hardtops; All-New From The Ground Up The all-new MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S made their international debut at the 2006 Paris Auto Show this September and are completely new from the ground up.
Features include an all new family of aluminum engines in normally aspirated and in turbocharged form. These more powerful engines showcase Vanos and Valvetronic technology and are lighter and more efficient. The Interior is all new with a higher level of premium materials and features. The interior design incorporates a more integrated design with more options for customers to individualize the look and feel of the cockpit. And the exterior design has been completely redesigned while clearly remaining true to MINI’s iconic shape and design language.
The full 2007 MINI model range, including the all-new MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S hardtops will debut in the US early in the first quarter of 2007. A full listing of US prices, options and packages is available.

Not bad at all.
It’s good to see the MINI Press playing catch up to MotoringFile once again.
Gabe, do you know how to obtain the available “full listing of US prices, options and packages”? Is it any different from the info you’ve already posted?
I saw the 2007 full listing of US prices, options, and packages at my Mini dealer yesterday.
I posted the full price list on http://bmwblog.net/?p=226 at the end of the post.
$3150 turbo premium is a hard pill to swallow.

Wait two hours 🙂
>$3150 turbo premium is a hard pill to swallow.
That’s a better deal than the current price difference of $3450
So does this mean we should be able to put in our spec soon?
Turbo obviously isn’t the only thing the extra $3k buys..
$3150 is cheap for a 55HP jump (compare HP/$ for JCW) plus the numerous features the S provides.
Turbo obviously isn’t the only thing the extra $3k buys..
It is if all you want is the turbo. That’s the point of option packages (which the “S” is), to increase profits for the automaker by bundling options you do want with extra-cost options you don’t.

Unless of course the cost of the things you DO want add up to more than the cost of the package, and then the other items in there are just a bonus. I think the packages are a great deal, but I’m looking for a pretty specced out MINI.
That’s actually the part of the packages I don’t get. I’m getting things I wouldn’t pay for if I had to buy them ala carte. How can that be making the carmaker more money?
Hi!
In the US, there is a package called “Hyper Sport” that comes with the Aero Kit and Sport Suspension (plus?).
Some have heard this Aero Kit is the same as the JCW kit. OThers have heard it’s a new, seperate one (as yet unseen). Does anyone here (Gabe?) have more information on it, or maybe a friendly neighborhood dealer they can ask?
Hyper-Sport (ZHS) $1,400 (3/1/07): Aero kit, Sport suspension plus
ala Carte: Aerodynamic Kit (3/1/07) $1300/ZHS
The other question, of course, is, if the S already has the upgraded “Sports Suspension”, why spend the addtional $100 on the package when all you’re going to get is the Aero Kit?
My understanding was there was the “regular” suspension and the “sports” suspension on the S, and that there was no “Sports Plus.” Accurate?
On the U.S. “2007 Ordering Guide Distribution” PDF, in the packages list, the Hyper Sport package lists parts 7AR as the Aero Kit and 226 as “sport suspension plus”. However, if one goes to the ala carte parts list, the Aero Kit retains its name and number, and part 226 is simply called “sports suspension.”
Any light anyone can shed on this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JMelrose
