Nice video, glad Gert explained the color scheme heh.

I am still really looking forward to seeing this car in motion on the street. Already making plans on hitting the LA autoshow if the Coupe is shown there.

So I have been looking at this car now for awhile, wasn’t sure about it… but I finally got my 1946 year old head out my Harley Earl ^$$ and I like it.

What price point are we talking about here? With a premium over the existing $35K, will this be a $40K car? Also will this overlap the 2012 gen3 redesign like the gen1 convertible, or will it be around for just 2 years?

One thing’s for sure-this “concept” has sure stirred folks up. I was up at the MINI of Manhattan tent at Lime Rock today, good portion of folks coming in to the tent wanted to know when the Coupe & Speedster were going to be available!

With the language used by BMW in the press materials released thus far I don’t see anything indicating this will be a short run or a permanent addition. I’d be willing to wager it’s the latter because MINI has said it’s looking to expand the existing model line up and what better addition to make than an enthusiast oriented halo car such as the new coupe for an enthusiast orientated car company.

Going out on a limb here. Just the mention of the Cooper Climax makes me wonder if MINI has a planned name for this car? Sorry guys I am not digging the coopster name for this. I do think it is a funny name and entertaining though.

I actually didn’t realize from the earlier pics that the roof was gold! Very interesting combo.

Notice how the presenter’s head, and concept top look similar. I guess we know where the idea came from. LOL

So the roof is gold? It looks silver in the pics.

I just can’t see anyway that top makes it to production. If nothing else it severly limits rearward visibility.

Not loving the roofline, but like the overall concept.

Yawn!

Show me the Broadspeed already!

all awesome! now how bout the interior room and the possibility of an optional A/T?

C4, this is the “Broadspeed”. Do you follow?

Maybe this should make a “next GP” from this – something very unique and special
