The MINI brand was able to increase its sales in October: Volumes rose 6.1% to 20,525 units. The MINI Countryman – newly introduced in September – played a significant part in this development. With 3,525 units sold in October, it already accounted for almost a fifth of all MINI sales. And that’s without the largest market – North America – even selling the vehicle. In total MINI delivered a total of 188,275 MINI brand vehicles to customers in the first ten months of the year (+4% year-on-year).
Robertson: “The MINI Countryman is well on its way to becoming a highly successful model. Demand is stronger than our already optimistic plans. This model will launch according to plan in other key export markets, such as the US, over the next few weeks and further contribute to the positive sales performance of the MINI brand over the coming months.â€

any idea what “over the next few weeks” means in real time? when can I test drive one?!?!

Is the plan to launch the Countryman at the same time they allow everyone in North America to order 2011 models with Nav and MINI Connect? If no, what are the two specific launch dates for each?

This delay is getting a little silly. For example my Atlanta dealer said they still can’t take future orders for Clubmans with Nav and MINI Connect.

I live in Southern California (Orange Ccounty) and ordered my Countryman on October 29,2010. It has Mini Connect, navigation, iPhone interface and live traffic. I have a production number, but so far the VIN has not been issued.
