We’re Joining MINI at the 24h Nurburgring And We’re Bringing You With Us

We’re hours away from heading to Munich where we’ll be following Bulldog Racing Team at the 24H Nurburgring. With a race modified JCW GP, Bulldog will be the first MINI sanctioned team at the N24 in ten years. But the best part is you’ll be riding along with us as we road-trip to the track and see it all first hand.
Our itinerary is pretty straightforward: land in Munich, grab a key to a 2022 MINI JCW hatch and head west for the six hour road-trip via the German Autobahn to the Nurburgring. Once there, we’ll settle into the MINI Basecamp located just off of the back straight and not far the Nürburg Castle itself.
What is MINI Basecamp? It’s a MINI themed festival within a festival that houses everything from fully equipped containers for overnight stays, MINI Countryman with roof tents and even a community tent with food, drinks and screens live streaming the race. But as nice as the MINI Basecamp will surely be, the classic 24H Nurburgring experience is hiking through various parts of the track.
Like any massive race weekend there are a number of support races throughout Friday and Saturday morning. This year is a bit different because it’s both the 24H Nurburgring and BMWM’s 50th anniversary. The means we’ll see some pretty special races like the BMW M Race of Legends with famous ex-BMW drivers in some pretty special vintage race cars.
First and foremost you’ll want to check MotoringFile where we’ll be embedding content on the fly. Beyond that you’ll want keep to follow and subscribe to our Instagram and Youtube pages for even more content.
Watching the race is thankfully very easy. Bulldog Racing and their JCW GP race car the weekend starts with practice and then the race itself which starts around 1500 CET (9:00 AM EST). Like the last few years it’s completely free to watch online right here.
