What does it take to bring a new MINI model to market? It’s a question many of us have pondered over the years but few truly understand. Enter Pat McKenna, MINI USA’s Head of Product and Marketing. Pat has played a key role in MINI’s product development over the past 14 years and was instrumental in tailoring the F generation of MINIs specifically for the U.S. market.

We caught up with him this summer at MTTS, where he shared insights into the development of new products and how they come to market. During our conversation, he touched on the story behind the last-generation 301 hp Clubman JCW and what it took to bring that car to market.
