Any word on special features for the 2008 convertible? I’m talking about something like the silver roof/stripes that were available for the 2006 hardtops. Is this the role of the Sidewalk package? I was hoping for something new for 2008.

That’s a nice looking MINI Convertible. I kind of dig the White Silver.

The sidewalk pkge is a great value and the seats/wheels are outstanding. Making it a hard choice between ordering a SW JCW or a stage one R56

  • isellem

also note that the jcw package dropped in price 300 bucks… and while leather and sport and premium packages increased… the sidewalk has indeed stayed the same, making it a GREAT buy! JCW PLUS SIDEWALK=MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • MINIAC

Not only has the JCW Package dropped $300 but it doesn’t specify the $1500 Sport Package as being required.

  • isellem

it will be… 17s are mandatory due to JCW brakes

  • charlie

Is there any chance of a retractable hard top option on the R57?

16″ R94 Bridge-spoke wheels are approved for use with JCW brakes.

ummmmmmm. Why would anybody even bother if they were patient they would be rewarded with a new nu MINI in about a year or less? Hard to think – One of my last post got shot into some other galaxy because I called Mocha chocklate Clubman a less desirable word? Does anybody else besides me think all the mini colors are getting tired and outdated? I plan on getting a Clubman at some point but I’m having trouble because it’s nu but It’s colors have been over used to death. I don’t want to see my cars color all the time- Am I right?

No red lounge leather for the ’08 R52. What a disappointment. The malt leather seating is pretty nice but the color combination in the Sidewalk interior look pretty horrific to me. I would love Astro Black/Piano Black dash/Chrome line/Red lounge leather. I may just have to go with the BMW after all…

That sidewalk package is so nice, it almost makes me want a convertible.

I’m wondering why no one else has mentioned this, but according to that PDF, nearly every single option (and package) has gone up by $50 to $100 from the 2007 prices (with the wheels all going up by $150!).

MINI may not have raised the base price, but the option price increases are going to hurt anyone looking for a loaded up MCC or MCSC.

I wonder if the same price hikes are going to be seen in the hardtops??? If so, it makes sense to grab a 2007 while you still can.

  • TheOfficeMaven

Oh, and the nav system has increased by $300 (going from $1,700 to $2,000)! That seems like an aweful big price increase if it’s still the same old 1st gen MKIV nav system (vs. the newer version in the 2nd gen cars).
