Still not a fan of painted arches but a good overall build on this car. Has to be one of the better looking R56 I’ve seen.
ReplyGerman coach-builder Arden has released it’s latest bespoke creation, the MINI Cooper S AM1. With all this talk about $50,000 Rolls Royce MINIs, the Arden is a good example of bespoke coach-building done right.

ReplyStill looking forward to seeing if RR moves forward as I am sure its going to be a nice looking ride.
ReplyThey could have at least gotten White Out Turn Signals. The ambers make it look cheap. Other than that the custom job looks…Nice, though a little bling.
ReplyBrown who really wants a brown leather interior, its like back to a 70s porno
Replygoes to show how subjective this all is — despite all the love from others above, I find the dash to be extremely busy — the mix of flat and glossy blacks, grey, silver, chrome and the brown (both in leather and suede) is way over the top… actually the whole interior is a bit much for me. And I am with those that don’t like the grills.
I cannot imagine paying $50k (or even an extra $500)for that… but maybe that’s just me.
ReplyThere are painfully few details on the Arden site, but the Arden 21 (Jag XFR) is a total beast! There’s an article about it in one of the car mags, European Car, I think….

ReplyIn fishing on their website, I found this:

Apparently Arden fielded a car in MINI Challenge 2007 and 2009. My German is poor enough that I don’t know if “1. Platz” means “1st place” or “spun, crashed and burned on the first lap.”
ReplyWhere am I going to put my shoes? I’m gonna have to take them off…and that goes for all my other passengers as well… Next Motoring Accessory – Motoring Slippers!
