Can’t make it to the US debut of the GP at the New York autoshow? Our friends at Mwerks.com have an excellent gallery of the MINI display that should help you forget about your lack of NYC travel plans. Check it out below:

Just a little note to head off the inevitable question. No the US spec GP will not be getting Recaro seats as seen in the prototype at the show.
I want those seats!!!!!
Fine. I like it.
begrudgingly
Too bad about those seats. They are very cool.
I wonder how easily (or if it all) the rear seat cubby holes, cover and various other interior panels can be retrofitted to non GP MINI’s.
Woohoo!!! I’m going first thing tomorrow. To those who attended during the weekend, are there any freebies I should look out for?
Is that hood scoop surround a graphic… or?
Hey…does anybody know if that bar is a structural support kind of thing? I mean, does it lend any strength to the shell, first off…and, more important (well, it’s why I’m asking), can you attach belts or a harness to it? (I’m thinking this would be a hell of a ‘track day’ MINI, and autocrosser!)
MINI says it’s to keep the crap in the back and not in your lap, or into YOUR back. Well, not in so any words.
Gee, why does it have to be so homely?
Sigh…
Loving the GP and these are the best pictures yet!
Queries: –
I have been reading the US tech info and it states the bhp at 214 and not 218 – does anyone know why that is?
The info always has a 0-62 time of less than 6.5 – does anyone know what the actual 0-60 figure is?
Cheers
