I really like the JCW GP ‘Stripe’ (really more a decal than a stripe) which encircles the hood scoop – enhances the ‘flaring nostril’ look of the Cooper S, and is a nice and subtle alternative to bonnet stripes.
Having said that, I wouldn’t quite entrust myself to buy something like this sight unseen from the Orient! Perhaps one of our local(as in North American)MINI aftermarket companies will make their own version of this for sale?
I don’t get why someone would want a decal or sticker or otherwise on their car representing it as something it’s not. I see it all the time on cars. Makes absolutely no sense to me. However, as the saying goes… Each to their own.
HAHAHA, I’ve seen these on eBay for some time now, I don’t think I’ll ever buy it as true MINI enthusiast know Chili Red wouldn’t be an original GP. I can’t really say it’s a bad thing as it’s more on a personal taste. So pretty much for me, that’s a no.
I’m also a big fan of the “chin stripe” as I call it, but yeah, going the extra step of actually putting “GP” on there is just laughable. The truly ironic part of it for me is just the big difference between your normal MINI drivers and the “ricer” crowd that this sort of thing would normally appeal to. There are plenty of 19-year-old Civic EX drivers who’ll slap “Type R” on their butts, but I’ll give $5 to the first MINI driver I come across with a magenta-colored chin stripe and matching “JCW GP” side stripe.
Now if someone would reproduce the front and rear bumper covers. I don’t particularly care to build a GP replica, but I think the design of the front and rear covers are the most attractive I have seen.
That side decal must be a pretty heavy decal to cost $35 to ship, maybe it’s made from lead foil! On the other hand, the scoop decal only costs $20 to ship – what a bargain!
mmm… for any BMW MINI
Can you say ‘poser’?

And these decals also increase engine power by almost 30%! 😉
Now my Cooper SiR can look even faster!

I can’t wait till they get the 30+ hp increase with the electric turbo that plugs into the intake….lol which will also be on ebay for .99

You know, It almost would be fun to slap that on a LY MCS and then go to a get together and watch people get PO’d about it.

Now let’s see the stuff we really want! THE GP FRONT BUMPER!!! This is the only part off of the GP that I would sell my soul for.
