The Fireball Tim Racing / MINI USA Dragcar (aka M600) hit the 11.02 in the quarter mile in qualifying on Friday in Vegas. The temperature was at a power sapping 120F, but nonetheless, it was about a half a turn of the wheel away from a 10 second time. This was done without nitrous and, of course is a new record for a MINI. So the quickest MINI in the world just got quicker.
On Saturday, the temps were even hotter; 122F on the car thermometer. However a bad launch meant that the M600 was eliminated in the first round. Still, nothing broke, and it was a good first session for the year. It certainly proves that the engine is strong. Next phase will include more upgrades and hopefully a time in the tens.

Woo Hoo, way to go Fireball Tim and the whole Fireball team. Let’s hear it for one fast SoCal Mini Maniac.
I haven’t even got to ride in the M600! I hear Kalbone did…but it didn’t have a motor in it at the time so 10 seconds went by quick!
Congrats guys! I can’t wait to see what you do next
Thanks guys!
The M600 WILL be doing the entire leg of MTTS. And there may be a few smokey burnouts happening.
Looking forward to see you all!
Can’t wait to see it in WV!
