Has Lightning Blue been dropped? I don’t see it in either list.
It may be a late availability. That’s why it’s not listed. MINI will sometimes come out with info like this then come out with an update shortly after.
No Oxygen Blue either.
Anyone know if we can expect black leatherette in the US?
It looks so close to a straight line 3 series dash.
From what I’ve read here and elsewhere… no more leatherette anywhere. Cloth, leather, or a combo of the two.
The absence of Lightning Blue is making me a little anxious. I’m on the waiting list to order an R56… and REALLY WANT THAT COLOR!!! Could it be possible that I will have to completly re-think the color combination of my car!?!

Why MINI, why?
This was the best upholstery option for those of us not interested in cloth seats or not wanting/needing the added expense and maintenance of cow hide covers.
One glimpse of hope is that leatherette was not offered in the UK, so this maybe a continuation of that trend.
Do we have to start a petition to have leatherette back in the spec sheet?

I hope this means they intend to keep Hyper Blue.
Is it just me, or are the color line/upholstery color boxes reversed (i.e., horizontal options are really upholstery options, vertical are really color line options)?
Why does all this info come out on UK specs and we in the U.S. get squat? I’ve never understood why we (and perhaps others) are treated so differently. I can understand when it relates to safety requirements and such…but for little niggling things?? (yes, I’m still bitter about no EB for Coopers in the U.S.) We want specs that don’t require advanced calculus conversions to understand!! Is that too much to ask!!!

Do you have any insight about what is happening with the cabrios? I understood that the old bodystyle would still be available for the cabrios only. Do we know if that is a fact and if so what colors might be available?

Thanks Gabe, I read that the first time, but what about colors? Do you understand that the current color pallete will remain for the cabrios? My interest is in HyperBlue vs LaserBlue. I’d like to get the new color on the old body style. That is my concern. Sorry I wasn’t more clear about that the first time.
I’ve been away from MINI news for a bit, so excuse me if I’ve missed some pertinent information. But from this it appears MINI is no longer offering leatherette as an option. Is this really true?
