Regarding the end of R50/R53 production, I stopped by my local dealer, Cincinnati Mini, today at lunch. In the 3 years I’ve been hanging around MINI’s, I saw the largest collection of unsold new MINI’s I’ve ever seen on their lot. I counted and there were 32 in the holding lot and 10 parked by the showroom. There were a mix of Regular and S hardtops and convertibles but most were very sparsely optioned out. I assume this will be there for-sale inventory for the next 3 months. Very interesting. Has anyone else seen this at their dealers?
Amazing, just amazing. So few Humans but more than I had heard involved. I wonder what the % is? The muzak was a tad mindless but sort of in the “OBEY” or Apple 1984 mode. That one painter/welder(?) looked mighty bored.

The dealer in Charlotte has more MINIs on its lot now, than I’ve ever seen there.
That’s crazy to see all the steps involved with production.

Good video – extremely annoying muzak.
