Every year, the good lads over at Cars.com assemble a list of what they think are the ten best cars from the movies. This years list includes the unforgettable Tumbler from Batman Begins, the fabulous 1964 Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger and the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Also included in the list, for the 2nd year in a row, is the 2003 MINI Cooper S from the Italian Job.
>Larger cars would have rubbed fenders with light poles and tunnel walls, but thanks to a nimble fleet of Mini Coopers, a band of conspirators manages to escape captors down congested streets, parks and subway tunnels. (Parks? Mass transit? In Los Angeles?)

Am I the only one who was expecting to see the car from The Wraith??? Luckily it didnt make the top 5 worst list either.
Actually this is LAST YEARS list set to coincide with the release of the Pixar movie “Cars.” It is as interesting in it’s omissions as it is in it’s inclusions.
One thing that surprised me about Cars was that there wasn’t a Mini or a MINI to be found. Surprising, since there are several MINIs in the Pixar parking lot.
Obviously Pixar was concerned that the inclusion of a Mini/MINI would’ve stolen the show! 😉
Sic transit gloria mundi. No mention of one of the Minis from original “Italian Job”, perhaps because it was before many of the judges were born, but still iconic to degree most of the others on their list will never attain. Honorable mention should go to the “Bourne Identity” Mini, if only posthumously. Not to mention slighting poor Genevieve, or Pork Pie.
What about John Cusack’s Z-28 from “Better Off Dead”?
So apparently these guys missed that two of the three MINIs were Coopers. Credibiity ding!!!!!
No love for Kowalski’s Challenger?
As far as I remember without watching the DVD again, only one the trio was an ‘S’ (the red one). The other two being regular Coopers. It’s interesting that they are automatically all seen as ‘S’s
